The SDAEYC Spring Conference was so exciting! Not only was it a
tremendous opportunity to learn and grow professionally, it was also a great
time to meet new people. The Directors and Administrators Committee was very
fortunate to have a table at this well attended event. We distributed
information about the group and ways to join. We had 9 new members join in one
day!
In addition, we had an interest survey for participants to
complete so that we could learn more about how this group can best support the
needs of its members. The top 3 needs identified were (1) Training Resources (2)
Networking and (3) Brainstorming Ideas. Survey participants got an “eggs”-tra
special treat from a spring basket filled with yummy goodies. Five lucky people
got special golden eggs and were able to pick a fun prize, while one person got
the lucky orange egg and received a prize basket filled with surprises. She had
just said, “I never win at these things.” You never know what is in store! It
was great talking with you all and we look forward to getting to know you better
as our committee grows.
