Docia E. Zavitkovsky Educational Award |
A $1,000 award for undergraduate and graduate study in the field of Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Selection priority will be given to graduate level or credential year of study. Undergraduate applicants must have a proven record of service or contributions to AEYC. |
Marcia Fochler Graduate/Post Graduate Award |
A $1,000 award to recognize the efforts and contributions of persons in the field of Child Development or Early Childhood Education and to financially assist in their growth through educational endeavors. The award must be used at the graduate or post-graduate level in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field. Funds may be used for tuition payments, fees, transportation expenses, books and materials. |
Marilyn M. Smith & J.D. Andrews Professional Development Fund |
A $1,500 fund, with a maximum award of $500, for AEYC sponsored and co-sponsored events such as workshops, conferences, seminars, and professional trainings. Funds may also be used for non-AEYC events; however, AEYC events will be given selection priority. Grants may be used for fees, materials, transportation, and living expenses |
Rose Engel Teacher Innovation Grant |
Mini-grants ($100) to teachers or child care providers for programming or events, which have a direct and immediate benefit to children or families. Funds may be used for materials and resources needed for curricular or program development or enhancement. |

· Obtain applications at caeyc.org. · The CAEYC Awards and Grants Selection Committee will review all applications and supporting materials. · Only COMPLETE applications with documentation, postmarked by the application deadline date, will be considered for selection. · All applicants will be notified by mail. · All Educational Awards require a short written article, describing the training experience or use of funds, for inclusion in the Local Affiliate newsletter. |
