All Saints' Preschool, Vista, CA

We are seeking an experienced, growth-driven, enthusiastic and hardworking Early Childhood Education Director to oversee daily operations of the two campuses of All Saints’ Preschool in Vista Ca. This professional must meet the following Qualifications and keep the Responsibilities listed foremost in their daily work with Children, Families and Staff. The position is part time, approximately 20 hours per week. 

All Saints Vista Preschool is affiliated with All Saints Episcopal Church.  Its mission is: To be a compassionate   community welcoming everyone in Christ's name.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience implementing Early Childhood programs.
  • Must have Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting verification), TB test, proof of MMR, TDAP and flu shot, First Aid and CPR certification.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience working with children in a classroom.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience supervising and management of staff in programs serving infants to pre-K.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be technology savvy and have strong computer knowledge and skills.
  • Possess current California driver's license and current automobile insurance as needed to travel between sites.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of compliance with all applicable state laws and regulations under Title 22.
  • Verification of the childcare center Director Qualifications as specified in California Code of Regulations, Title 22.
  • Must have excellent and up to date knowledge of California Labor Laws.
  • Experience in financial management and accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency with social media and outreach. Ability to add content to the preschools’ existing websites.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • An ability to foster learning environments in which children develop and grow, with a love of working with children, staff and families.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Child Development practices to support staff and parents in children’s discipline and guidance.
  • Grant writing experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Empathetic to the needs of both staff and families modeling Christ’s love.
  • Work with clergy of All Saints Vista Episcopal Church to support the mission and values.
  • Support both Directors to ensure a quality curriculum in areas that foster children’s social, emotional, creative, cognitive, physical and spiritual growth.
  • Supervises and models developmentally appropriate adult/child interactions.
  • Assists Directors in the development of professional skills.
  • Plan with both Directors to responsibly manage budget preparation, tracking and internal controls.
  • Fill in for either Director when they are absent.
  • Attend monthly preschool board meetings.
  • Supervise two site Directors utilizing good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attend all school functions and activities.
  • Come together with Center Directors for the administrative success of all school programs.
  • Share in the recruitment of teaching staff.
  • Track center enrollment, market when and where necessary to maintain center’s full capacity.
  • Develop and implement revised parent handbook and personnel manual, coproducing with Center Directors.
  • Possess knowledge of all California laws that pertain to Preschool Management.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:

Continues to check and maintain a comprehensive set of records on students and staff ready for licensing inspection at any time.

Actively network with other Episcopal Preschool Directors in the North County area to provide cohesion in program planning in relationship to the church.  In addition, this networking is expected to provide consistency to program policies incorporated in Parent Handbooks and Employee Handbooks.

We offer a benefits package to include paid holidays, paid sick leave, vacation along with a retirement program.

Salary range for this position is $21 - $24 per hour.
